IPL 2024: Virat Kohli Unveils His Top Three Favorite Bowlers to Face

Royal Challengers Bengaluru luminaries Virat Kohli, Faf du Plessis, and Glenn Maxwell engaged in an informal exchange during a promotional session for their team. The trio, captured in a video shared on Instagram, showcased camaraderie ahead of their IPL 2024 clash against Sunrisers Hyderabad. During the banter, Maxwell quizzed Kohli about his preferred bowlers to face, eliciting a grin from the Indian batting maestro. Kohli jested, naming Maxwell himself as one of them, followed by Australia's James Faulkner, prompting laughter from the group. South African speedster Kagiso Rabada rounded off Kohli's playful trio of favored opponents, with Kohli noting the challenge of facing him.

The video commenced with Kohli inquiring about du Plessis' pet peeves, to which the skipper promptly responded with irritations towards falsehoods, lack of rest, and extensive shoots. Maxwell, in turn, was prompted to share his frequently used Hindi phrases, replying with "Theekhe, Shukriya, Chalo Chalo." Later, du Plessis directed the spotlight to Kohli, querying his favorite tunes, to which Kohli cited "Channa Mereya," "Oh Ho Ho Ho," and "Ainvayi Ainvayi."

Off the field, the camaraderie flourished, but on the pitch, Royal Challengers Bengaluru faced challenges, languishing at the bottom of the IPL points table with only one victory. Their solitary triumph against Punjab Kings saw them clinch a hard-fought victory by four wickets. However, their recent defeat against Mumbai Indians by seven wickets at the Wankhede Stadium highlighted their struggles. Despite posting a formidable 196-run total, Mumbai Indians chased it down with ease, courtesy of notable contributions from Ishan Kishan and Suryakumar Yadav, each securing half-centuries.

As they gear up to confront Sunrisers Hyderabad in their upcoming fixture, Royal Challengers Bengaluru aim to break their four-game losing streak. Their quest for redemption on home turf at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium awaits, as they strive to reverse their fortunes in the IPL 2024 campaign.
